RCC Mancation: a men’s advance (we don’t retreat.)
Men, you don’t want to miss this. Get there.
We’ll arrive at Shenandoah Rive State Park between 2 and 4pm on the 22nd. There will be fire, meat, small animal snares, shelters, time with Jesus, & iron sharpening iron.
The cost is $15 per person to offset the cost of food and site rental.
Sign up here and we’ll coordinate supplies and rides.

Can’t wait! Thanks for setting this up.
I should be able to. I just need to figure out my time off since Jen and I will be taking 3weeks late April-early May.
I’m inviting some good men to come along. I assume that’s cool? David Gross and Jesse Trask.
Of course. Please let them know that dancing around the fire with a stick is totally optional.
Guys, I can’t make it until Friday. Anyone else in the same boat and want to carpool?
Mark, I may be in your situation too. I’m trying to work out a trade, so I’m still up in the air.
The Countdown Begins…
I’ve been receiving a lot of questions along the lines of " What should I bring" or “What type of food will there be” or the best one from Scott " Where can I plug in my curling iron ? "
The campsite it’s self is pretty cut and dry. I need everyone to coordinate with me before the morning of the 21st to have their tent dropped off. I will have them all set up by the time everyone arrives on Thursday afternoon/evening. Anyone who does not have a tent please let me know so I can “acquire” one for you.
Shelter, Check. The campsite is within easy walking distance of the parking area so you can bring whatever creature comforts you feel necessary as long as you are willing to put up with the laughter when you bring your stuffed animal. Sleeping bags are a must have. A change or two of clothes. Any sort of “gear” that you already have will make this all a lot easier i.e. knives, hatchets, or multi-tools. In short, aside from sleeping gear and any personal items, just bring yourself.
The campsite does have cell service, so calm the wives. There is also potable water, a bathroom, and if you must have it showers are located nearby.
If you need help with any gear or have any questions please feel free to message me here or shoot me a call/text 571-344-5496.
Rob – I was planning on taking the entire day off, so I can get to the campsite relatively early and set up my tent and help with others. (No, I do not plan on leaving Reston before sunrise…but shouldn’t be on the road much later than that if it will help.)
I’m leaving the afternoon of the 21st around 2pm with Jay (although we haven’t concreted a time yet), so if you arrive the morning of the 22nd we will easily be there.
Mark & Dave – Have just been notified that I will be on travel through Thursday night, so will not be able to get to the MANcation until Friday. Do either/both of you still need to carpool on Friday?
